THE PROJECT
Initial thoughts on the project were to look at two options providing a hydrotherapy pool. These were;
- Build from new, purchase land and build a hydrotherapy pool
- Convert an existing building with a pool (such as a hotel) to the standards required for a hydrotherapy pool.
It was decided that the former option of a new build would be the most practical and cost effective in the long term.
A full feasibility study into the proposed hydrotherapy and respite centre has been compiled by a local accountancy firm, and full architectural drawings have been completed by a local architect practice. A site for the new build has been found on the outskirts of Newquay (Quintrell Downs) and an agreement has been drawn up with the right to buy once funding has been secured.
